☀️ Pause Before the Solstice: A Walk, a Breath, a Reset

Hello Reader,

We’re in the thick of it now, peak season for nature walks, community events, and saying yes to way too much on the calendar.

This time of year is always my busiest as a guide. Still, I’m grateful. Even when I’m “working,” these walks are healing for me too.

There’s something about being one foot in and one foot out, holding space while also being held by nature. It brings me back to myself every single time.

And I always try to plan these walks around certain moments for a reason.

You’ll often find one near Mother’s Day and another near Father’s Day.

Not because they’re holidays everyone celebrates the same way, but because I know firsthand how much comfort, release, and quiet support nature can offer during those tender weekends.

💚 So if Father’s Day feels layered this year, if your dad is no longer here, or the relationship is complicated, please know this Saturday’s forest walk is also a soft place to land. There’s no need to explain anything. Nature knows how to hold it all.

Whether you’re carrying something tender or simply longing for a little more quiet, this walk is here for you. If you’re craving a small pause before summer sweeps you away, I’d love to see you there. More details are below. 👇

But first, a simple practice to help you begin the shift right where you are.

As we near the summer solstice (June 20th), the days are stretched to their fullest. Light pours in from early morning to late evening.

And yet, it’s easy to rush right through it.

👉 What if this light isn’t just here to grow the world around us?

What if it’s also here to nourish you?

And that brings us to this weeks' nature connection invitation...

🌿 Nature Connection Invitation: Let the Light Find You

Sometime this week, I invite you to step outside before noon and pause wherever the light meets you.

Notice... Is it warm? Dappled? Soft through the leaves?

Let it land. Let it linger.

Notice what shifts when you stop and receive—even for 30 seconds.

No effort. No outcome. Just a moment to let the season touch you.

And if it feels good—you can return to it tomorrow. And the next day.

☀️ Welcome the Season of Summer with me!

🌿 Stepping Into Summer: A Forest Bathing Walk
🗓️ Saturday, June 14th 📍 Godfrey, IL | 9:30–11:30 AM

As summer unfolds, the forest is alive with energy—lush greenery, dappled sunlight, and the hum of life all around. This Guided Forest Bathing & Nature Therapy Walk invites you to step into the season with intention, embracing the warmth, vibrancy, and renewal that summer offers.

This walk is gentle, slow, and accessible to all fitness levels. It’s not a hike—it’s a chance to reset, reflect, and root back into yourself.

Spots are limited, and pre-registration is required. If it speaks to you, I’d love to hold that space with you.

👉NOTE: This is one of my last events before my July / August hiatus! So if you've been curious about Forest Bathing - this is the PERFECT time! I likely won't host another event til the Fall 🍂 (when the St. Louis Summer Sauna recedes 🥵😜).

Whether you join me for the walk this Saturday or simply take a few quiet moments to feel the light on your skin, I hope you find a pocket of presence in the midst of it all.

Here’s to beginning summer not with a rush, but with a return. 🌻

And a special shoutout to all the Fathers out there holding it down — especially mine, who has supported me endlessly on this whole “crazy bathing in the forest” thing 🤣💚 - Love you Pop!

In Peace & Presence,
Jess
