For me, that looks like long nights at the pool for my son’s swim meets 🌊 🏊♂️, getting outside early 🌅 before the heat rolls in, carving out time for weekend hikes 🥾🌲, and eating drippy slices of watermelon on the porch 🍉 sometimes with a little Ted Drew's for good measure🍦. There’s a lot of motion and buzz this time of year, but I keep feeling the pull to slow down and really take it in. To let the light linger a little longer. To savor what’s already here. One of the simplest ways I know to drop into the season is to pause and listen. 🍃 Nature Connection Invitation: Listen for Summer Find a quiet moment outdoors; on a walk, a porch, even a park bench. Close your eyes for 30 seconds and simply listen. What sounds say “summer” to you? Birdsong, sprinklers, wind in the trees, laughter from down the block? Let the sounds root you in this exact moment of the season. Notice what shifts in your body when you let yourself receive those sounds. Try returning to this practice at the same time each day this weekend, after lunch, before checking your phone, or just before bed, let it become a rhythm of presence. And if you’d like to keep moving through this season with intention, the June Simple Joys in Nature printable is still available. It’s a simple, fridge-friendly way to pause and notice the small joys woven into summer. 📥 → Download For Free Thank you for being here and for taking time to connect with me, and with nature, through the seasons.
