Hey Reader, 👋

It’s happening.

The light is longer, the trees are fully leafed out, and yep, I’m this close to turning on the AC. 😅

As I write this, it seems like everyone on my block is mowing their lawn. I’ve got lawn mowers in stereo.

Earlier this week, I swear I heard an ice cream truck rolling down the street, and suddenly I was 9 years old again… barefoot, chasing after it with a crumpled dollar in hand. 🍦☀️

There’s something about this moment in May — school winding down, the smell of cut grass in the air, and that buzzy energy that says summer’s about to burst in through the door, ready or not.

It’s exciting. And if it’s starting to feel like things are moving a little fast—well, they are.

But here’s the thing:

You don’t have to match the pace of the world around you.

You can slow time by slowing down with nature.

Just one pause, one breath, one moment of presence can shift the whole tempo of your day.

So before the pace picks up, I invite you to ask:

What’s growing in your garden right now?

🌿 Nature Connection Invitation: Tend Your Inner Garden

Step outside (or sit by a window) and take a short walk or moment of stillness. Let your eyes wander until something alive catches your attention — a sprouting weed in the sidewalk, a patch of clover, a tree in bloom, a houseplant leaning toward the light.

As you observe, ask yourself:

🌱 What have I planted recently — in my life, my work, or my inner world?

🌱 What’s just beginning to take root?

🌱 What kind of care does this part of me need right now?

There’s no rush to fix or figure anything out. Just notice.

You might want to write it down, or simply carry the image of that growing thing with you as a quiet reminder of your own unfolding.

✨ I’d love to know how this invitation lands for you. Feel free to reply and tell me what you're noticing in your garden — inner or otherwise. 💌

And speaking of things winding down...

If you’re trying to figure out the perfect gift for your favorite teacher (or you are that teacher and need a not-so-subtle hint to forward this), I hope you’ll consider this special offering: 🌿 Restore in Nature: A Day Retreat for Educators

This isn’t another mug or tote bag.

It’s a real exhale.

This day retreat includes:

✨ A day retreat experience designed to help teachers and helping professionals exhale after the school year. It’s not professional development. It’s restoration.

Because the best thank-you might be an invitation to rest. 🌱

Whatever you're growing right now, whatever is blossoming, buzzing, or just barely sprouting, I hope you give it space.

And I hope you give yourself the same.

Here’s to popsicle dreams and luscious summer strawberry visions... and maybe a slow walk through the garden before the weekend rushes in. 🌱🍓

In Peace and Presence,
🌱 Jess

P.S. Today’s my mom’s birthday, and I’m pretty sure she’ll read this all the way through (hi, Mom!)—so here’s a special shout-out to the birthday girl. Love you lots! 😘💐
