I was lucky to get away for an impromptu camping trip that I didn't even know how badly I needed. With Memorial day behind us, how are you feeling about June Reader? I can’t believe it but here we are. June always feels like it comes in with a burst - bare feet on warm pavement, the smell of sunscreen, the calendar full of Forest Bathing Events. But, this month I’m determined to slow it down. One of the best ways I know to do that, is to take a few minutes every day to be present. To just notice the small and simple joys that mark the arrival of summer. Things like the hum of bees on clover ☘️, the sticky sweetness of the first ripe berry 🍓, the flicker of fireflies at dusk ✨. These small joys are always there, waiting to be noticed. For June 🌿Nature Connection I’ve created another printable for you to use all month to stay connected to yourself and nature. I even got inspired to write a blog post to go with it (go me!) Check it out 👉 Why Simple Joys in Nature Matter. 🌿 This Month’s Nature Connection Invitation June Simple Joys in Nature – A printable 30 Days of Noticing Challenge to help you stay grounded and engaged with the natural world.
Each day offers you a new prompt to notice one tiny thing and write it down in just a word or two. It's a gentle rhythm, not a to-do list. No pressure. No streaks. Just presence. Try printing it out and keeping it somewhere visible - like your fridge or desk. → [Download your free June printable instantly here] 🌿 Want to slow down together in person? This month, I’m offering a few beautiful forest bathing sessions — all great ways to gently reset and reconnect with yourself and the living world around you: Nature’s Path to Green Living – Forest Bathing at the Green Living FestivalSaturday, June 7 - 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM – The Missouri Botanical Gardens Disconnect from the digital world and engage with the living tapestry of the Garden as you explore shinrin-yoku, the Japanese art of forest bathing. Community Talk – Slowing Down to Take Action – Green Living FestivalSaturday, June 7 - 12:15 PM – 1:00 PM – The Missouri Botanical Gardens In a culture that often values speed, productivity, and constant doing, slowing down can feel radical. But when it comes to caring for the Earth, slowing down isn’t about doing less—it’s about noticing more. This insightful talk explores how mindful time in nature strengthens our relationship with the living world and inspires more conscious, sustainable choices. By reconnecting with the natural rhythms around us, we begin to see the environment not as a resource to be managed, but as a relationship to be tended.
